Alan and Kevin, this one is for you. Last week I upgraded my Laureus Spitfire Chronograph with a deployant buckle. This is the last of my tang buckle collection to get the upgrade. I was told at the Boutique that this model did not have a deployant option, which seemed strange as it is a typical 22:18 strap. After some digging around in the strap options, we found a blue strap and put a deployant on the watch. I am much happier with it now. It has been on my wrist all week.
The Blue dial is very difficult to capture photographically. This is the best I can do. My best attempt was several years ago and is the first picture. The remaining shots are post strap enhancement.

very nice BIll. love the blue. I am contemplating one of the Laureus editions too - and it is such a decision....
on another note, if auctions and negotiations go well, I hope too to be joining u to upgrade my blue soon.

Wonderful, Bill. Both the photos and the watch/strap combination.

Beautiful pictures, Bill. There is no blue like the Laureus blue.
I am one of what must be a small number of people who prefers the standard tang buckle over the depolyant - at least IWC's single deployants. No matter what size strap I try and which direction I mount the strap with a deployant, I just find the tang buckle more comfortable. This doen't apply to the IWC deployant type clasps on their bracelets, or to aftermarket double deployants I have tried, which are both fine for me.
So I'm strange - but I already knew that! And that's why Ben and Jerry make so many flavors!
Your lume shot was espcially good. Beautiful photos of a simply beautiful watch!

Nice job. Love the new pictures. I was told the same thing when I asked so I will have to go back to Patrick and revisit.
Thanks for the info.

Great move Bill. I nominate this watch for a European trip.
