PS: you could also buy a black dial Pure Classic just for this event. At least you have an excuse! You might even try to declare it at the non-profit organisation, it will surely reduce their profits :-)

To avoid looking at a watch and to keep it appropriate for other black or white tie functions, you could always get a Pt minute repeater. Just pull the lever and listen to the time whilst appearing engrossed in the speaker pearls of wisdom!
