After taking a Forum poll on "what watch to wear" to a formal, tuxedoed evening, the winner was the VC Portofino. Here are a few not so good iPhone photos of the outing.
I am on the Board of Trustees of a Major Hospital Group in Southern New Jersey. The evening is a huge fund raiser for the organization. The entertainment was the Mid- Town Men /Jersey Boys signing hits from the play "Jersey Boys". The songs were right up my 1960's and 1970's alley.
I did get one comment on my watch for the evening, which is a bit unusual. I convinced the Dr. to take a look at IWC as he was anticipating making his first luxury watch purchase. I spied several Rolexes and one A. Lange on wrists.
Getting dressed in my Penguin suit in our hotel room, the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City New Jersey,
The forum nominated watch for the occasion.
I forgot to take pictures of the meal à la Nad. I remembered halfway through dessert.
Thanks for the polling advice. It was the right choice. The VC fit perfectly under the starched French Cuffs and the Black Dial complimented the formal wear perfectly.
