Hi there and forgive me if this is in the wrong section thins is my first every comment so go easy please. :)
I recently bought a gold trench watch and the movement is stamped "PEERLESS S&Co 335481 Swiss Made". I was wondering whither this is an IWC movement and/or case as I was under the impression that S&Co were IWC agents in the UK and were supplied with movements? I am wanting to sell on the piece and did not want to mislead anyone. My research (On the dateyouriwc app) suggested it was indeed an IWC movement but someone has since contacted me to say they feel it is not and I was wondering if anyone could help?
No, in my opinion it is not by IWC. Not all movements used by Stauffer and marked Peerless were by IWC, and this one is not by IWC. The design and bridges differ from what IWC produced.
