Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice. A year or so ago I bought pre-owned Big Inge SL 63 AMG. Nice watch and it was in good shape, except that it had all shiny polished bezel. Looking at handful of pictures of the same watch on the net, it looked like it should have come with brushed finish bezel, just like regular Big Inges. So, I always assumed that it's either previous owner or re-seller polished the bezel. Around a month ago I decided to service the watch and took it to IWC boutique with instructions to restore original finish. Watch was fully serviced at RLG service center in Moscow and I got it back yesterday. The case was refinished, but bezel remained polished. Staff at Moscow boutique is very nice and helpfull, but since the watch is not in any of the IWC catalogues, they can't really say what should be correct state of the bezel finish, brushed or polished. They just suggested that since its special edition, it could come out with polished bezel, different to regular production big ingenieurs. Basically I'm looking for an answer what should be the correct bezel finish on my watch. If it's brushed and is the same as the one from regular 500501, I will probably just order a new one. Many thanks for your help, I will try to post pictures of my watch later on, seems photobucket is no longer welcome by my office computer. Regards, Maxim

Yes, that's the one. And on these official photos, as well as on some real life photos of the same watch on the net, bezel does look brushed, hence my question. Regards, Maxim

I recall a similar scenario back in 2005 with the first Cousteau Divers Aquatimer. Watches were coming from the factory with different case finishes - some with satin case sides and some with polished smooth. These were not requested by the buyer - just happened to come from factory this way.

I am a black dial Big Inge owner and I must say that the white dial is fantastic! I wish the white dial version was not a limited edition. Looks great on the wrist. Jeff

Yes, looks like I need to order a new bezel... Restore original finish with combination of brushed and polished surfaces with distinctive angles between them would be very difficult or probably next to impossible. Regards, Maxim

White face does suit Inge case really well, especially when I wear it with the bracelet.
The bezel would have been a combination of brushed/polished when new as on other 5005's.
Great find..
