After much deliberation over the colour combination on the 5001 I have finally decided on the black face black dial 09 and I cannot wait!
Sorry to all those who looked at my thread yesterday and didn't get a chance to put their opinion across ( nad aside- thank you for your guidence nad) but in view of the lack of advice I decided to go with my gut and heart.
Rolex submariner is being put back in the box tonight

I have seen much praise for the santoni strap. I'll take a look at one when I pick it up. May need to wait a bit as my better half is struggling with the purchase price as it is! :-)
If I like it, I'll try to sneak it in in a month or two.

Looking forward to the pictures. David offered good advice about the strap, really stands out with that color combination, but no need to upset the wife wait a month and then act like you always had it. LOL we have all done this from time to time.

The 5001 series are wonderful, I loved my white dial 500107 and still miss it sometimes.

I used to have a 5001 white dial, sold it to fund another IWC, but bought one back.
Couldn't miss it. Great buy.Wear it in good health.
