hello, my name is robin and i am from belgium. i am already 10 years or so into mechanical watches. after having some omega's(seamaster) and rolex'es (sea dweller-submariners) it was time to go to iwc! i was always a fan of the iwc aquatimer, the clean lines, soft strap and marvellous engineering where the key factors that attracted me to this specific model and brand but the bright colors somehow kept me away. i bought my first 3538 in 2010 but sold it shortly afterwards and now i am happy to have bought the exact same watch back and couldnt be happier! i knew i had to have this one as the new aquatimers in my humble opinion lost some of their iwc roots.... nice to be on this forum. a 3717 on metal is still on my wish list;) mahalo, robin

@ Roberto, love that AT on the bracelet on your wrist.
Only one question though - it looks pristine?
Please don't tell me you refuse to wear it as it was designed and built by IWC - as a proper tool watch, taking it into the environments it was built for?

It looks in pristine conditions because I treat my watches good!
I use them all, I just give my vintage pieces some extra attentions, which means, keeping them off the water.

here's an old iwc pic for you....
my ex 3536 bezel from the inside that i replaced;)
so happy now with my 3538 as the 3536 was a bit to plain for me;)
Love the bezel pic. Quite some engineering.

I liked the way you put it ....kind of, like how you grew up; Seamaster's Sea Dweller/Submariners AND THEN YOU WENT TO AN AQUATIMER !
Best regards
