Hi,
I fear I may have fallen foul of the expected etiquette of this site. If so, I apologise and would welcome your guidance on this.
I have posted on the site with very limited success or interest from other members.
Is it because I have mentioned the 'R' brand twice or is it something to do with being an 'apprentise'?
I am getting soooo into iwc that I would like to have the ability to discuss this passion with like minded folk, but appreciate it may be a closed shop or clique that you have all formed over what looks like many years?

Hi Rich,
In general, there are plenty of reactions but sometimes there are so many posts that they remain on the 'recent posts' page for a short time. That reduces the chance of a reaction.
About half an hour ago, I saw your post about your pickup of a 500109 tomorrow and made a mental note to myself to congratulate you tomorrow once you have received the watch.
The Forum is also quite open and welcoming to newcomers, so I wouldn't worry if your previous posts didn't get much reactions.
Kind regards and welcome here on the best IWC forum in the world!

Welcome to the best IWC Forum on the web. You will enjoy your time here and learn a great deal about not only the watches, but also about the history and tradition of the brand.
Posting pictures will always get a response. Don't worry about the "R" word. Many here own more than just IWC's, but most of us are die in the wool IWC aficionados.
Here's how to post pictures, if you are not familiar with the method.

Richard, welcome to the forum - and if my reponse is rather late, please be assured it's entirely due to my travelling on a business trip with limited access and certainly not to any "etiquette" issue.
So you have been infected with the ubervirus - something we all mostly suffer from here, in one form or another! The Soooo into Variant you carry, is contagious to those in your imeadiate environment and a typical symptom is an accute need to show it to others. This is normal - posting pictures here will help.
So welcome, wear in good health and we look forward to sharing your IWC and your travels / experiences etc. with it.

I will add my welcome, plus add to the comment Mark has posted regarding your new virus. This virus has been known to be uncurable. Our resident biological genius, Dr. Andrew Thomas, tried to find a cure and look what happened to him!
As you will find tomorrow, symptoms can be temporarily alleviated by buying a new watch and posting a lot of pictures.

If that's the case then no problem.
I'd appreciate any advice you care to give.
Regards
Rich
