Intresting what's been said about the non date dial (though it's easier to imagine someone got thier dates and non dates crossed), by the early to mid '60's the Hamilton 6b offering was complete with a split iron/brass dial (albeit fused together)..obviously somewhere along the line somebody gave a shout to what would suffice (amag)..wonder how thick a coating of the correct material (on a mm's worth of brass) you'd need to qualify for this new/reduced rateing. It would take someone very clever to work that out, someone with a bit form in the job (^).

Will you post the 866 also? That's a watch I could start seriously thinking of...
