Hi all,
I recently bought this watch from a London dealer & have a question for anyone that owns\is knowledgeable about this watch.
When screwing down the crown from open to full lock it's about a 3/4 turn which seems quite a short thread. I previously owned a Top Gun single chrono & from memory the crown took a good couple of turns to screw down.
Is this normal or is it something that needs to be looked at? Any advice gratefully received.

One of my chrono's also has a short thread,I also had some thoughts about it. But it never loosens once in the final position, so I guess there is no problem here.
Kind regards, Paul

I agree with Paul, it shouldn't be an issue once it's tightened into its final position.

Sam.My 377704 pilot chrono has the same short release. You should feel the spring release when you unwind for the usual change functions. Everything is in order. Kenneth.

Dear forum members.Could I prevail on you to explain the merits of buying a BP 5002,as opposed to aquiring a new BP 5004/5009.Notwithstanding the obvious advantages of a new watch and a more modern movement,I quite like the look of the early BP 5002,especially the dial layout. There appear to be many fine examples available on the market. But unlike the modern renditions of the BP,I've never seen a 5002 up close. Please feel free to contact me via my email address which is on public view. aThankyou. Kenneth
