Today I got my new brown strap for my Port Chrono. It is the dark brown which is the standard strap for the gold edition. I feel like I got a new watch. Brown is so sexy and at the same time so elegant. Brown should be the original strap for 371445 :-) I like also the even bigger differentiation from my BP 5004 with black strap.

Haris,
Thanks for this posting and for your subject title question. As the owner of a 3714-45 on deployant, my first impression of the OEM Black strap was that it was to much of a stark contrast on this particular variation so I elected to go Brown like you. No disappointment as it really enhanced the RG markers and softened the overall look as your pic's acknowledge.
My AD also suggested as a option to mix it up a bit the dark navy blue on deployant. When he put it on, I was truly blown away. This combination was a subtle change from the black, but enough to bring out the color of the blued "counter" hands. The navy strap also sports up the model to a even higher level yet if a dressier occasion calls, this fresh look works just perfectly.
Next time you visit your AD/Boutique, take a look at this pairing in the flesh, I'll bet you will experience the same feeling I did....WOW !
Let us know what you think should the opportunity arise.

I much prefer brown straps on any gold watch or SS watch with gold accents. I find it much warmer, and in the case of SS with gold accents really brings out the gold.
Regards from Athens,
Haris
enjoy the 'new' watch in good health!

Enjoy your 3714, she's a beauty.
Best,
Andy
By the way, you should give the brown Buffalo strap from the BP 5002 a go too. It too will make your BP look like a new watch!
Kind regards,
Clemens

this alternative was also offered to me by one good friend of mine. He makes the straps by himself:
