I am on the way to buy a Portofino 5101 8 days to a private seller.
I’ve one question to be sure of the authenticity of the watch.
1- The serial number begins by 50…
Is it normal, I saw lots of recent serial numbers beginning by 38…?
2- On the movement is written adj. to five (5) positions instead of adjusted to (5) positions as we can see on the IWC website.
Have anybody heard about such modification?
Thanks a lot for any help.

Welcome to the forum.
The first 50.. serial numbers started about 2 years ago with 5,000,000 which was a 3717 pilots chronograph.
I have seen both adj. and adjusted on the movements.
Post some photos when you get your watch.
