Also interested if anyone has purchased one recently?Interestingly, I just had a recent conversation about the World Timer with a couple of AD's I deal with. We were talking about the Pilot line in general and when the World Timer came up, both AD's indicated that when introduced they thought it would be a real mover and a big success. However, it just hasn't attracted much attention and has produced very very few sales. Now this may not be the case in other regions, but from a SoCal perspective it appears it just hasn't caught much interest..so far. Those who frequent the Boutiques/AD's might have some feedback from their areas on how the World Timer is doing.Andy

What you do may not be so important, but it is very important that you do it well. (my variation of a saying by Gandhi)
Sunflower Wrote:Well, in real life the World Timer looks better than on the pictures, but there are many IWC watches that just look better than the World Timer. That "functional bezel" is just very wide, making the watch part very small, with those small hands. Unless you feel you need the complication because you travel often from East to West and from West to East, there just is no urge to buy it because it would be so beautiful. When you compare it to the Pilot's Double Chrono: you hardly ever need a Double Chrono, but this watch looks amazingly beautiful, at least to me. Whether it sells well because of this I don't know. As for price, not to be discussed of course, but the comparable World Timer watches from other brands are much more expensive, so I don't think this should be an issue. Put the World Timer next to the Spitfire Chrono, the Pilot's Double Chrono and the Portuguese Chrono Classic and, independent of the price differences, the World Timer would never be my choice.Kind regards,Paul
