I really appreciate to find a couple of dozen very interesting postings here. For me it seems to be a high quality standard given by enthusiastic specialists loving horology by heart. Thanks a lot for this knowledge-base!
So, back to basics...I got this heirloom a couple of years ago...I always knew that it´s very rare and expensive but I could´t find any information about exactly this watch on the internet.
Once, when the retro-version of exactly this watch came out in 2008 in the vintage IWC-Collection there was an interesting Article in the IWC-Time-Magazine about exactly my watch. If anyone could tell me the edition/issue of the magazine so I can order it from IWC would be so nice!
I hope you´ll like my pictures. As I read in some articles it´s best to hide the reference number. So I blurred it on the pictures of movement and cap.
The numerals were illuminating once...
So, here´s my link (I don´t know how else to post pictures in here):
ps: The wristband isn´t original unfortunately...I´s love to find one sometime!

It's a lovely watch. It does seem to me, which is difficult to tell via computer screens, that the dial has been redone.
Given the number of caliber 74 pocket watch movements which have been "converted" as marriages to wristwatches, if you care to privately e-mail the case number I'd be glad to let you know if the case number is on the known Portuguese list (which I have been asked not to disclose publicly). I'll bet your watch is OK but it might be worth a double-check on the number.
