Hello to everybody
I see dozens of new names on this forum that I can't tie to a face or a detail like I had the luck to do after the collector's meeting,so I'll try to start a sort of call roll re-introducing myself...
Paolo Ballarino age 39 (in a few days) married, 4 sons dentist an insane passion for surfing (the one on waves of wet water not the "cyber" one!) and for IWC watches. A small but beloved collection including: 1832 jumbo golf club yacht club II auto 3710 Kalendarchrono 5441 jub portug 5420 scarabeus
Ciao to everybody and a special Ciao to MF and all the ones of the Meeting!!
I think it's a great idea that we re-introduce ourselves, especially with the number of newcomers we've had in the past year.
To encourage replies, for the first 20 people who reply here I have some issues of Watch International over the past three years to give away. It's my way of saying "welcome".
If a person replies below your post and also e-mails me at mfriedberg@iwcforum.com with a mail address, I'll send out an issue of the magazine if desired. If people have choices I will try to accomodate those, but since I only a few copies left of most issues, the selection must be my choice. I apologize in advance to anyone who doesn't receive his preference.
Oh, by the way, that's me next to Paolo in the photo that he posted, with my wife Kay on the left. I'm also the guy in the middle of the above photo, together with IWC executives. Georges Kern, the CEO, is my "right hand man" ;)
I'm the moderator here and a lawyer in the U.S. in "real life". I also collect too many watches.

I'm in......
But I am already a subscriber, so don't need the magazine ;-)
I'm 45 and live in the USA in the Mid-Atlantic region. Besides collecting IWC I also have a few Panerai (well, more than a few), and a few AP, mostly Offshore Royal Oaks and the Arnold watches.
In the IWC line I have a nice Portugieser and Pilots watch collection, with most examples represented. I also had a pretty good Ingeniuer collection, but, alas, I have been selling off those Genta-Ingenieurs to add a few contemporary models....

LET'S CALL THE ROLL...
Ok, Michael, hopefully you still have my address, we traded an IWC hat for a Lange and Sohne hat recently. I have the recent issues and a new subscription, but anything older than the current issue would be very appreciated.
I only own one IWC watch, a Mark XV classic on bracelet, but I have come very close to buying several others. The Mark XV is by far my favorite watch, I wear it nearly every day. i plan to add either a 3706 or a doppel very soon.
I also own Omega, Lange and Sohne, and JLC watches, but consider myself to be mainly an IWC collector purely because I love IWC's designs and quality.
I am a professor of economics (and do not like the way the dollar is fairing relative to the Euro or Swiss Franc). I am 52 years old and have two teenage sons. I enjoy Nordic skiing, car racing, fly fishing and hiking. I have spent much time in Western Europe, for business and pleasure, and most recently (post 1989) in Eastern Europe and Russia on business. I specialize in environmental economics.
I truly enjoy this forum and appreciate the friendly and helpful atmosphere. Would post a picture but I have not yet figured out the picture hosting system.

Nice to meet you guys.
Thanks for the magazines MF - but no need here - I have one.
My name is Richard Sheridan - I am 32 years old, married, and live on the coast in Southern California. Here are a few photos taken during a snowboarding trip last month. I consider the GST a great sports watch that can take a lot of punishment.
Career: Information Technology/High Tech Industrial Sales. Currently, I sell Enterprise eBusiness Software for a large, rutheless software company
My IWC interests are contemporary models - I have a Doppelchronograph, a GST Perpetual Calendar, and a Portuguese Cal. 5000. My wife also has a IWC, a ref 3714 Portuguese Auto.
