I’m very pleased to announce that we have here a world first –the first showing of the new Aquatimer models by IWC!
To view the models and to read the press information concerning them, please first go to the Articles section of this forum (upper left).
These are important new models that, I predict, will have a major influence on the market for Swiss watches throughout the world. As you will see, there are several new models, including a “regular” diving watch, a special edition Cousteau model, a diving chronograph and a revolutionary new complication –a minute rattrapante. There are many details to discuss, but for the time being I’ll let you have a look first.
This exclusive disclosure reflects the importance that our Collectors’ Forum has to IWC. Please note that the images are copyrighted and must not be copied, linked or shown elsewhere. Their “public” release will be in about a week, although you of course can invite others to visit our forum before then to see them.
IWC also has several other important new models to disclose, but you’ll have to wait until a little closer to SIHH to see them.
As always, your comments and questions about the new Aquatimer models are invited.
.. I'm very pleased with the return to the inner diving bezel.
At a glance I would assume the lug width of the series is the same as the GST and old Aquatimer series, if so will be new rubber strap also fit retrospectively?

Very nice! They'll be a hit...
You can choose a sporty or a more classic one. Nice technical innovations as well. Way to go, Maarten

An intriguing mix of models.....
IWC must have listened very carefully at the customers' needs.
I was totally wrong, guessing there wouldn't be chronographs, but I guessed there would be a "deep blue" one. Be it that the yellow marks of course stay because of readability, but I'm not a diver. Really looking forward to see them all !!!

Functional yet classy
On a very quick look I would have to agree with the positive tone so far. IWC seem to have designed a collection of watches that are not only "fit for purpose" but also great for urbanites like me to wear around town.
When will local markets know the price and availabilty? On well, come summer my wallet will be pounds lighter
All we need now is a new Ingenieur and this will really be a great year.
