IWC Schaffhausen
Your personal development is important to us. That is why we make every effort to promote the education and training of our employees. On the one hand, we offer external training programs that are relevant to your job. On the other, you can benefit internally from the IWC Academy online platform with a wide range of online language courses, Lunch & Learn events and many other courses.
Your family is not just the most important thing to you. We believe that a fulfilling home life is important for having a successful career. We therefore grant mothers a paid 18-week maternity leave. Fathers may take care of their families for two paid weeks. Both mothers and fathers can apply for unpaid parental leave of three to twelve months after the birth of their own child.
Our employees enjoy progressive employment conditions, which are regulated by the German-Swiss Watch Industry’s Collective Labor Agreement (GAV). This framework includes the most important contractual provisions between employees and IWC.
For many people in Switzerland, health insurance premiums are a heavy burden. This is why we make a monthly contribution to our employees’ health insurance premiums.
The weekly working time at IWC is 40 hours. Flexible working time allows you to tailor your time to your needs in the best way possible. Depending on the work area, fixed working hours are also possible. You will receive five weeks of vacation per year. After the age of 50, the annual vacation allowance rises to 6 weeks. In addition to the freely selectable holiday days, five fixed compensatory days are determined annually and taken into account in the work plan. These are retrieved by working an extra 10 minutes daily.
Do you want to stay physically fit in addition to training your mind? Employees of IWC can receive fitness subscriptions at special rates. You will also benefit from the activities of the IWC Sports Club, which was founded in 1972 and regularly organizes sports and leisure events. As part of "IWC Topfit", we also surprise our employees sporadically with initiatives about health promotion.
At IWC, we also take care of your physical wellbeing. In our canteen at our headquarters and in the new Manufakturzentrum you can meet your colleagues for a cup of coffee or a delicious lunch. With our lunch vouchers, it is possible to eat in our canteens and in selected restaurants at a decent price.
At IWC, we focus on sustainability. We are not only committed to society and the environment through our partnerships or to ensuring that our raw materials are sourced sustainably. We also encourage our employees to contribute voluntarily. We give you the opportunity to work on charitable projects as part of our Corporate Volunteering program. These could be projects that are organized by IWC or activities that you have chosen yourself. In accordance with the principle of “Gemeinsam engagiert” (engaged together), we provide you with a paid working day if you volunteer for at least two days a year.
IWC rewards employees who personally work to combat climate change. If you use public transport, you will benefit from a point-to-point season ticket or a GA travel card. We will also support you financially with the purchase of a new, ecological vehicle.
Please note that there are local deviations regarding benefits. The above list applies specifically to the headquarters in Schaffhausen.
