Ingenieur Automatic 35
The Ingenieur Automatic 35 complements IWC Schaffhausen’s Ingenieur collection with a version featuring a 35-millimetre case size. The modern Ingenieur revisits the bold aesthetic codes of the Ingenieur SL, Reference 1832, a luxury sports watch created by renowned Geneva watch designer Gérald Genta in the 1970s.
This model features a stainless steel case and integrated stainless steel bracelet, a black dial, and rhodium-plated hands and appliques. Designers and engineers worked hand-in-hand to define, proportion and finish every part and characteristic of the Ingenieur, adapting them precisely to the 35-millimetre case size.
To achieve the desired visual proportions and ergonomics, every element was carefully redefined. The result is a watch that offers the instantly recognizable look and feel of the Ingenieur in a smaller and flatter execution, providing excellent comfort and a perfect fit on the wrist.
Just as the 40-millimetre version, the Ingenieur Automatic 35 impresses with its highly detailed finishing. The watch combines satin-finished and polished surfaces, creating a refined texture and beautifully reflecting the light. The bezel is secured to the case ring with five functional screws, while the bracelet’s H-links feature satin finishes with polished edges. The centre links and case back are fully polished. The characteristic «Grid» pattern on the dial, hand-mounted appliques filled with Super-LumiNova®, and the open case back revealing the 47110 calibre with a 42-hour power reserve complete the design. The movement is decorated with circular graining and Geneva stripes and features a gold-plated oscillating weight.
