RAMADAN KAREEM FROM IWC

IWC Schaffhausen celebrates the holy month of Ramadan with a new 2023 campaign in collaboration with The Fred Hollows Foundation featuring four inspirational Arab talents: Reema Juffali, Arqam Al Abri, Fahad Badar and Hamad Al Humaidhan. The campaign celebrates the gift of time and commemorates the beginning of Ramadan, a month dedicated to gratitude, self-reflection, inspiration, and togetherness.

Jeddah born Reema Juffali and IWC SCHAFFHAUSEN brand ambassador, made history at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi in 2019 as the first-ever Saudi Arabian professional female racing car driver. She has since competed in the British Formula 4 category, represented Saudi as the official ambassador for the inaugural Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in December 2021 and achieved an sensational second-place podium finish in her first ever endurance race at the iconic 24 Hours of Dubai in January of this year. Her incredible achievements in such a short time have made a tremendous impact on the region, motivating women to break through barriers and follow their passions.

Qatari high altitude adaptive mountaineer, adventurer and banker, Fahad Badar was the first Arab to achieve a double summit atop Mount Everest and Lhotse (2019). In 2021, upon his descent from Broad Peak misfortune struck, leaving Fahad with severely frostbitten fingers, leading to the amputation of 5.

Overcoming disability and becoming an adaptive climber he went on to summit K2 (2022) - considered to be the most difficult and dangerous mountain. He is in a relentless state of adventure, currently preparing for yet another challenging expedition.

Arqam Al Abri is an Emirati Soul singer, who left the corporate world to strive and make a difference with music and conscious entrepreneurship.

Recently, The Fred Hallows Foundation appointed Arqam Al Abri as its global ambassador, making him one of the first males from the Arab World to work in this role since its establishment in 1992.

His objective with music is to reach people and share music with the intention of bringing about positive change; the values of tolerance, love, understanding, peace and caring for our land.

Kuwaiti born Artist, Hamad Al Humaidhan AKA Hamad Picasso is dubbed a rising prodigy by many contemporaries.

Prior to being exposed to Picasso’s work, Hamad’s art uncanningly adopted a cubist style of painting. He also draws inspiration from Dali and Pollock.

From a very young age, the paint brush became his favourite tool of expresssion. His talent matured through years of contributing to artistic projects many of which are humanitaran. He paints his world with youthful emotions. His work today is on par with established artists developing their subjects on society.
