The IWC F1 IWC-Gloves Brazil Grand Prix Contest


How to play

 

IWC is proposing its “F1 IWC-Gloves Contest” for IWC enthusiasts.

 

From those who enter the Contest, IWC shall, at random, choose one winning entry. The individual who is chosen as the winner shall win a prize consisting of one pair of F1 IWC-Gloves produced by Puma (hereinafter referred to as the “Contest”).


Contest Rules

1. The Contest commences at the start of the Brazil Grand Prix Formula 1 race on 12 November 2017 (“Grand Prix”) and continues until midnight on the day of the Grand Prix (hereinafter the “Contest Period”).

 

2. During the Contest Period, entrants to the Contest (hereinafter referred to as “Entrants”) will be asked to complete a form on the IWC website and specify the watch name and reference of the design printed on the gloves worn by the driver in the applicable Grand Prix race (hereafter the “Entry”). Entries received after the Contest Period will not be considered. See section “The Contest – Submissions and How to Enter” for further details.

 

3. These terms and conditions apply to the Contest (hereinafter referred to as “Rules”). By entering the Contest, Entrants expressly agree to be bound by these Rules.

 

4. The Contest is operated, promoted and organized by IWC, Branch of Richemont International S.A., (hereinafter referred to as “IWC”).

 

5. These Contest Rules are only available in English and are displayed on the Contest page available at IWC.com. If you do not understand the Contest Rules then you should not participate. By entering the Contest, Entrants will be deemed to have read and understood the Rules.

 

6. Any changes to the Rules will be posted on IWC’s official Twitter page at the web address noted above.

7. Only one entry per person is permitted.

 

8. The Contest is NOT open to minors and to qualify to enter the Contest you must be of legal age (for example, over 18 in most European countries). By entering the Contest, you warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter the Contest and accept the Contest Rules (i.e. that you are of sufficient age and mental capacity and are entitled to be legally bound by a contract).

 

9. Employees and immediate family members of employees of IWC and their associated companies, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies connected with the creation or administration of the Contest are not eligible to take part in the Contest. 

 

10. IWC reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Entrants. Entrants shall provide such reasonable documentary evidence as IWC shall specify in order to verify the age and identity of the relevant entrant. IWC reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant which it reasonably believes has not acted in accordance with the Rules and/or for any other reason at the Promoter’s sole and unfettered discretion.

 

11. There is no purchase requirement to participate in the Contest, and there is no charge to register for the Contest which is available on Twitter other than the usual Internet connection charges payable to your service provider and/or telephone company, if any.

 

12. By participating in the Contest, Entrants hereby warrant that all personal details submitted by them are true, current and complete and that the e-mail addresses submitted are accurate and valid.  

13. The Contest is exclusively viewable on IWC’s official Social Media channels at the following webpage addresses: https://twitter.com/IWC, https://instagram.com/iwcwatches, https://facebook.com/iwcwatches .

 

14. In order to participate in the Contest, each Entrant must go to an IWC website landing page to complete a form referring the IWC timepiece image displayed on the Grand Prix driver’s pair of gloves worn during the Grand Prix. All correct entries will be added to the prize draw. With submitting the form, Entrants acknowledge and accept Twitter’s Terms and Conditions.

 

15. Entrants understand and acknowledge that IWC will receive information about them in order to conduct the Contest. In addition, the Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter.

 

16. IWC will conduct a random drawing from all valid Entries received during the Contest Period on Monday 13 November 2017 at 11 a.m. Central European Time .   

 

17. The winner will be contacted via email message on 13 November 2017. 

 

18. Data entered and automatically sent and entries generated by technical manipulation are excluded from the selection for the Prize.

19. There is only one prize to be won. The winner will receive an identical unworn pair of IWC Gloves worn by the Grand Prix driver on race day. The pair of gloves are manufactured by PUMA. In sofar as is permitted by law, IWC will not be responsible or liable for the condition of the prize, including the quality of workmanship. Furthermore, IWC does not provide any representation or product warranty in respect of the prize.

 

20. The winner of the Contest will be announced on IWC’s official Twitter page on 13 November 2017. 

 

21. If the Prize is declined or unclaimed by the winning Entrant, or if the winning Entrant cannot be contacted based on the details provided by him/her within seven (7) days from the notification, a replacement winning Entrant may be selected in accordance with the process described above at IWC’s discretion and the replacement winning Entrant will be notified by IWC. The original entry that was selected will then be forfeited.

 

22. The Prize is personally attributed and not transferable. There is no cash alternative for the Prize. The Prize is awarded at IWC’s entire discretion, and no Prize will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any Entrant.

 

23. IWC reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater monetary value at its sole and unfettered discretion if this is necessary for reasons beyond its control.

24. IWC does not accept liability for any damage, loss, pain or suffering incurred by any Entrant entering the Contest. IWC is not responsible for any problems with local postal services or technical faults, be they in networks or telephone lines, computer systems, servers or suppliers, mobile telephones or computer equipment or software failing of any e-mail system or entry form received due to technical problems or to congestion related to the Internet, telephone lines or any website, or any combination thereof, including any damage or prejudice to the Entrant’s telephone, computer or to any other person or mobile linked with or related to participation in or downloading of material on IWC’s website, be it related to the Contest or not.

 

25. IWC will not accept responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission or mail delivery, communications-line failure, theft, destruction, alteration of, or unauthorized access to entries, or entries lost or delayed whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server functions, viruses, bugs or other causes outside its control.

 

26. IWC reserves the right to cancel, withdraw or modify the Contest and/or the Contest Rules at any time without prior notice to Entrants, for any reason and without any liability. No indemnity will be paid or due by IWC as a result of such cancellation and/or modification.

 

27. Entrant provides a complete release of liability to Twitter regarding the Contest as set out in these Rules.

28. IWC reserves the right and the Entrant expressly agrees that Entrant may use the name and/or pseudonym of the winners and/or all photographs and films taken of the winning Entrant at whatever location such audio visual material may be produced. Use may include the Internet, such as IWC’s website, its social network pages including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and all Photograph, publicity, magazines, catalogues or the likes.

 

29. The Entrant grants IWC a non-exclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license and rights of use, including the right, if necessary to reproduce the winning Entrant’s name, likeness, voice or any other attribute of their personality as it appears in any film, photograph etc. whether taken during a Prize giving event or otherwise.

 

30. IWC will store Entrants’ entry details in connection with this Contest solely for the purpose of this Contest, unless Entrant has given permission for additional use, and in accordance with the rules of the Swiss Federal Data Protection Act. IP addresses of internet users having participated in the Contest will also be collected solely for the purpose of preventing fraud in connection with the Contest.

 

31. IWC reserves the right to use the name and image of the Entrant chosen as the winner. Such use will only be for purposes of promoting the Contest through postings on the IWC website, on IWC’s social media sites and through in-store and out of store multimedia exhibitions after the Contest.

 

32. Entrants expressly acknowledge and agree that IWC may share the Entrant’s details provided in connection with this Contest with Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Limited (“Mercedes”) and/or its/their brand partners for marketing purposes. Any personal data provided by you will be processed in accordance with applicable laws and IWC Schaffhausen’s Privacy Policy at: https://www.iwc.com/en/terms-and-legal/privacy-policy.html. By entering the Contest the Entrant agrees that Mercedes may collect and use his/her personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, details of which are available at: https://www.mercedesamgf1.com/en/mercedes-amg-f1/imprint/#privacy-policy.

33. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Contest, IWC’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

 

34. For all other matters the Rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with Swiss law. Disputes arising in connection with these Rules shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Swiss courts.

 

35. Winner and Contact Information: Any questions or comments regarding this Contest must be directed to IWC, not Twitter. To obtain the name of the Contest winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: IWC “F1 IWC GLOVES COMPETITION”, IWC Schaffhausen, branch of Richemont International S.A., Baumgartenstrasse 15, 8200 Schaffhouse, Switzerland, Switzerland.
