IWC Schaffhausen

IWC Schaffhausen

In addition to the capabilities of a pure chronograph, the double chronograph also features a split-seconds mechanism. On starting the chronograph, two centrally rotating stopwatch hands – mounted one above the other – are set in motion. An additional push-button at “10 o’clock” is used to stop the upper hand, while the lower hand continues to move until the regular stop button at “2 o’clock” is pushed. This enables two short periods of time to be measured simultaneously. When the rattrapante pushbutton is activated a second time, the split-seconds hand is brought into renewed synchrony with the chronograph hand – irrespective of whether this has been stopped or is still moving.

Edition “Boutique Genève”

IWC is launching a special-edition timepiece that is limited to 50 watches. The Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante Edition "Boutique Genève" (Ref. IW371221) takes up the tradition established by the first Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante, introduced by IWC in 1995. The watch is powered by the hand-wound 76240- calibre movement with a 44-hour power reserve. The words "Cé qu’è lainô", the title of Geneva’s anthem from after the year 1602, are engraved on the back of the watch. This model is fitted with a brown alligator leather strap with a folding clasp and is now available exclusively at the new IWC Boutique Geneva.

Edition “Boutique Munich”

The Edition “Boutique Munich” (Ref. IW371217), with a stainless-steel case, blue dial and blue alligator leather strap is limited to 250 pieces. The display is based on the original design of the Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante from 1995. The watch is powered by the hand-wound 76240- calibre movement with a 44-hour power reserve.

Edition “Boutique Rue De La Paix”

250 watches are being launched in the Edition “Boutique Rue de la Paix” (Ref. IW371216), with a stainless-steel case, slate-coloured dial and black alligator leather strap. The watch is powered by the hand-wound 76240- calibre movement with a 44-hour power reserve.

Edition “Boutique Milano”

The Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante Edition “Boutique Milano” (Ref. IW371215), with a 5N gold case and blue dial, is limited to 100 pieces. Featuring a telemeterscale on the flange and a tachymeter scale on the inner circle of the dial, the elegant sports watch is secured to the wrist by a hand-finished black alligator leather strap. The watch is powered by the hand-wound 76240- calibre movement with a 44-hour power reserve.

Edition “Boutique Canada”

Available as a limited edition of only 150 pieces worldwide, this timepiece commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Federation. With a stainless-steel case and a silver-plated dial, the watch features two black totalizers, and rhodium-plated or red hands. A black alligator leather strap adds to the elegant appearance of this timepiece. The engraving on the case back depicts the maple leaf, the most recognizable symbol of Canada, which appears on the national flag and the royal coat of arms. Each piece is engraved with its individual number.
