THE BIG PILOT EXHIBITION

With the launch of many innovative new Big Pilot’s Watch editions this year, IWC will be celebrating its iconic story and the spirit of IWC at The Big Pilot Exhibition. It tells the story of the watches, evolving from a functional aviation timepiece to a cultural icon today, inspiring creators from many fields, including the arts, fashion, photography and design.
Held from 9 to 12 September 2021 at Design Orchard, the exhibition will showcase historical watches and also pieces from the current collection as well as a host of unique experiences.
EXPERIENCES
Throughout the four days, IWC will also be hosting watchmaking classes and a series of interactive and experiential activities for both adults and children. The brand will also be partnering some lifestyle brands such as Leica and SecondNatvre for hands-on activities.

Watchmaking Master Class
Discover the fine art of watchmaking led by our in-house watchmaker through the process of movement assembly.
Junior Watchmaking Class: Assemble a Clock
We invite you to share your passion for watchmaking with your children. In this workshop, the children will get to learn the process of mechanical watchmaking through a hands-on experience on constructing their very own clock that they get to bring home.
Leather Crafting Workshop by Secondnatvre
Experience the intricate practice of leather crafting with this hands-on workshop. Guided by a trained leather craftsman from local leather design and production studio, Secondnatvre, each participant will hand make a leather valet tray from scratch with materials provided, which they will get to bring home.
Macro Photography Workshop with Leica
Join IWC and Leica in mastering the art of macro photography with this hands-on session, learn the fundamentals of macro photography and capture the intricacies of the Big Pilot watch. During the Macro Photography workshop, you will learn how to take close-up shots of a watch to highlight precision and craftsmanship in the best possible way, taking your IG photography to the next level.
LOCAL FRIEND OF THE BRAND - MARK ONG
Singaporean sneaker and streetwear designer and artist, Mark Ong, also known as Mr. Sabotage is one of the artists featured in IWC’s worldwide campaign for The Big Pilot’s Watch. Inspired by his childhood spent skateboarding on the streets of Singapore and his passion for art, Ong has been customizing sneakers for almost 20 years.
Since selling his first pair of customized Nikes online in 2002 and launching his own sneaker design brand SBTG (short for Sabotage) in 2003, he has redesigned over 10,000 pairs of trainers and established a dedicated following of sneaker enthusiasts locally and globally. From hand-painting in vibrant colors to embroidering and accessorizing, Ong takes two to 12 hours to complete redesigning a pair of sneakers. Some elements that he takes inspiration from for his designs include Singapore’s urban landscape and punk and hip-hop music.
At this exhibition, Mark and his team of artists will be doing streetwear customizations demonstrations as well as showcasing a selection of his creations and designs.
DISCOVER THE 2021 NOVELTIES
On show are the latest watches from the 2021 Pilot’s Watches collection, including Big Pilot’s Watch 43 and Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, alongside selected limited-edition pieces.
DISPLAY OF 31 HISTORICAL TIMEPIECES
Gain a deeper understanding of the history of the Big Pilot watch and appreciate the watches in the flesh with the showcase of over 30 vintage and historical Big Pilot watches specially flown in from the IWC Museum in Schaffhausen. This is the first time such a large number of Big Pilots are taken out from the museum for an exhibition outside of Switzerland.

By joining the The Big Pilot Exhibition Photobooth contest, all participants agree to be bound by the below Terms & Conditions, and the prevailing Instagram terms and conditions of use, all of which may be amended from time to time.

-This contest is open to participants aged 18 or over only. Entry is not open to our employees and their immediate families and anyone connected with the creation and administration of the contest. Proof of eligibility may be requested and we reserve the right to disqualify entries we reasonably believe are not in compliance with these rules. No purchase is necessary for entry.
-Participants must post their photos on Instagram and tag @iwcwatches_SEA or include #iwcwatches_SEA in their posts by 19 September 2021 23:59 (Singapore time).
-The photos must be taken at The Big Pilot Exhibition Photobooth, which is at Design Orchard Singapore, from 9 September 2021, 9am to 19 September 2021, 9pm, in order to be eligible. Your post must be original to you and must not feature material taken from someone else nor feature the trademark, brand or name of someone else nor violate anyone's legal rights including of privacy and/or publicity. Your post must not be defamatory or unlawful or include anything that would bring us into disrepute and must be suitable for public display without inappropriate political, religious or sexual references or other sensitive content.
-Only posts submitted via public accounts will be eligible.
-There is a total of one prize to be won for this contest: A unique jacket customized by SBTG.
-The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part. We reserve the right to offer an alternative to any element of the prize of equal or greater value. Any other requirements which are necessary for the winner to enjoy the prize which are not listed shall be the responsibility of the winner (at his/her cost) including any applicable taxes payable. To receive it, the winner will provide us his/her full name and contact details to arrange for a pick-up from the ION Orchard Mall, IWC Schaffhausen boutique, 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore 238801.
-Participants are allowed to submit multiple entries, but each participant is only entitled to one chance to win the prize of the contest. We cannot accept responsibility for late, incomplete or undelivered posts for any reason, including but not limited to technical failure.
-The winner will be selected based on the creativity of the photo and the accompanying caption that describes the photo.
-The winner will be selected based on the sole discretion of the management team of IWC Schaffhausen. Any decision made by the management team of IWC Schaffhausen on any matter in relation to this contest will be final and binding and no further communication will be entered into.
-The winner will be announced by 26 September 2021 23:59 (Singapore time). We will contact the winner by replying to his/her entry on Instagram.
-In the event that the selected winner cannot be traced or does not respond within ten (10) working days to a winner notification, or refuses the prize, or a potential winner is deemed ineligible in accordance with these rules, the prize will be forfeited and we, in our sole discretion, may choose whether to award the prize to another participant.
-We reserves the right to end, suspend or vary the contest or amend the rules at any time without notice if circumstances make this unavoidable.
-The prize will be awarded on an “as is” basis, and all warranties, express or implied, are disclaimed. We do not guarantee nor bear liability regarding the quality, performance, technical specifications, conditions or safety of the prize.
