Over the past ten years, I have come to see IWC as so much more than just a manufacturer of fine watches. To me, the company, the people, the craftsmanship behind our timepieces and the events surrounding our partnerships are the manifestation of our underlying passion for the beautiful things in life.
In this context, I am very excited to present THE JOURNAL – our new online magazine in which we publish stories that capture each and every element of the IWC experience. THE JOURNAL will take you to exciting places around the world, give you a behind-the-scenes view of events and people with extraordinary talent, dedication and passion, and unveil the world of handcrafted precision engineering tucked away behind our factory doors.
The spirit of our former quarterly print edition – the beloved Watch International – will be brought to new life. As you scroll through THE JOURNAL, you will find editorial features on a variety of topics inextricably linked to both IWC and our partners as well as inspiring photography, moving and memorable short films and interviews with personalities from the worlds of sports, art, music, film, fashion – and watchmaking, of course. Coming together in a fresh digital format, it invites you to browse anytime, anywhere and on any device.
So sit back, relax and explore our world.
Welcome to THE JOURNAL!
Yours,
—Christoph Grainger-Herr, CEO IWC Schaffhausen
