NEW IWC BOUTIQUE IN ZERMATT

Come and spend the day with me in Zermatt, the well-known village under the even better-known Matterhorn. We will be visiting the newly opened IWC boutique and the Gornergrat. Follow me through a day filled with Swissness, ranging from the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert on my wrist to the Swiss mountain itself, the Matterhorn.

We start our day strolling through Zermatt. As the streets of Zermatt are car-free, you can take in the atmosphere of the environment even more. The typical Swiss chalets lining the streets, the fresh air, and of course the view of the beautiful Matterhorn. It is only fitting to visit the newly opened IWC boutique right in the middle of Zermatt. This is a place to encounter another symbol of Switzerland: the art of watchmaking. Within the Boutique, you can find timeless IWC classics.

SURROUNDED BY GIANTS

After browsing through the boutique, it is time to continue our day with another must-see in Zermatt. We head to the station to catch the rack railway up to the Gornergrat. The railroad takes you from the village at 1600 meters to 3100 meters above sea level. This makes the Gornergrat railroad the second highest in Europe.

The ride up to Gornergrat itself is a journey that enables a constant view of the Matterhorn. But when you arrive at the top you will be even more mesmerized by the view of mountains as far as the eye can see. In addition to the Matterhorn, we can see the Gorner Glacier which is the second biggest glacier in the Alps. In the background, we can catch sight of seemingly never-ending mountains, 29 of which are more than 4000 meters high. This includes the Dufourspitze, the highest mountain in Switzerland.

After an astonishing view and a glance at our IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert, it’s time to go back down to Zermatt. We end our day how we started it, walking down the streets of idyllic Zermatt. A place that never disappoints and I am always desperate to come back.
