Biography
Having appeared in a wide range of films over the course of his career, James Marsden continues to carve out a distinctive place in Hollywood.
Marsden recently wrapped production on Rob Reiner’s Iraq war drama “Shock and Awe”, opposite Woody Harrelson and Tommy Lee Jones, and is currently starring in HBO’s critically acclaimed sci-fi series “Westworld”, which premiered this fall.
Marsden was most recently seen in the comedy “D-Train”, alongside Jack Black. He also starred in “Unfinished Business”, opposite Vince Vaughn and Nick Frost, and the dramatic comedy “Welcome To Me” with Kristen Wiig.
Marsden also starred alongside Michelle Monaghan in the drama “The Best of Me”, based on the bestselling novel by acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks. He has starred in films as varied as “Anchorman” 2 alongside Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell, “Two Guns” for director Baltasar Kormakur opposite Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington and Lee Daniels’ ensemble film “The Butler” where he takes on the iconic role of John F. Kennedy.
Beyond film, Marsden appeared in NBC Universal’s hit comedy series, “30 Rock”, for a multi-episode arc where he starred as Tina Fey’s love interest.
