Laurenz Meckl
Training Department Manager
“After completing my Corporate Trainee program, which began in the Strap Purchasing department before moves to Product Marketing and Finance, finally ending up in Retail Sales, I felt ready to take on a new challenge. My next step at IWC took me to the Middle East. Based in Dubai, I was to assume responsibility for training all the sales associates in our in-house and external boutiques, and in our multi-brand stores in the Gulf States, North Africa and India. Spending almost two years in the Gulf proved to be an awesome experience, both professionally and personally, and had a decisive impact on my further career at IWC.
Not only did it broaden my horizons and improve my understanding of our business, it also meant I could offer invaluable “front-line experience” gained from my previous position as Retail Operations Manager with responsibility for the performance of our 52 in-house boutiques, in order to steer a successful course in my new role. In my present role as Training Department Manager, I continue to benefit from the countless impressions garnered during my training program and my work in the Middle East.”
