IWC Schaffhausen x APXGP
Two special editions of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph in stainless steel pay tribute to our official partnership of the APXGP team from F1® THE MOVIE. The dial design with black, white and gold elements is inspired by the team’s colours and race car. The sapphire glass case back features the APXGP logo printed in gold.
Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month
Digital displays
This special execution of IWC’s perpetual calendar uses large golden discs to display the date and month in a digital format on the dial. These digital displays require an additional and complex mechanism with two separate wheel trains. A small amount of energy is stored away every night to fuel the energy-intensive switching process occurring at the end of the month.
Mechanical powerhouse
The first Performance Chronograph with a complication is powered by the IWC-manufactured 89802 calibre. In addition to the perpetual calendar with its digital displays, the 474-part movement also drives a chronograph function.
Advanced material
The case and bracelet of this watch are crafted from Ceratanium®. Developed by IWC, this advanced and highly engineered material is as light as titanium and almost as hard as ceramic. Its multi-stage production process involves firing the components in a kiln.
Big Pilot’s Watch Shock Absorber Tourbillon Skeleton XPL
Pushing the boundaries of movement shock protection, IWC’s engineering division XPL has adapted its patented shock absorber system to a tourbillon for the first time.
