Laureus sport for good
Laureus is a global movement that harnesses the transformative power of sport to change the lives of children and young people worldwide. Since 2000, Laureus Sport for Good has impacted the lives of over six and a half million children and young people by using sports as a means to address violence, discrimination and inequality. Currently, Laureus supports more than 300 programmes in over 40 countries and territories.
IWC Schaffhausen became a global partner of Laureus Sport for Good in 2005 and has collaborated with the foundation on numerous occasions. The brand also works with the Laureus Foundation Switzerland, supporting its annual charity night by donating an exclusive watch for auction. The full proceeds are used to support the foundation’s social sport programs for young people in Switzerland.
Special edition watches for laureus sport for good
An integral part of this partnership is the special edition watches that IWC Schaffhausen has dedicated to Laureus Sport for Good. These models are characterized by their Laureus-blue dials with a sunray finish. On the back of their case, they feature an engraving of the Laureus Sport for Good logo, a reminder of the charitable cause. In support of the foundation’s work, IWC donates to a different Laureus program each year.
