He makes sure that the flying cars are not only an innovative product itself but are undergoing a technical and design evolution. Pearson revels his love for simplicity and beauty and that his love for mechanical watches stems from his grandfather – a man of great style.

IWC’s new Friend of the Brand and member of the #iwcracing family Laura Kraihamer talks to host Chris Grainger. The two not only share a passion for traveling but as well for drawing. The young racing driver unveils the perks of racing and how she got where she is today. Entering the racing world through karting at 12 years old Kraihamer was not sure where her career will take her and after a six-year break and studying law she got back into the driving seat at the age of 22. She says she feels privileged to have been able to turn her passion into a living. Already as a child she spent her Sundays watching Formula One with her family and her enthusiasm for cars and pure racing is impossible to be denied.

Born in Schaffhausen, she has always had a strong connection to the brand and chance has decreed that Gsell performed as a 4-year-old ballerina on the same stage where she welcomed her IWC team years later as CMO.

Even as a child, Knoop noticed that he had a special passion for design. For 13 years, he has been designing watches and building stories around them.

 

Through storytelling, he is able to build an aesthetic universe around the launch of a new collection. To maintain the origin of iconic collections, traditional values and established designs are combined with new trends, such as innovative material or color codes. But when doing so, attention must always be paid to the design language—and not only to the need of the customer.
