We offer a complimentary 6-year extension to our standard 2-year International Limited Warranty, bringing the total coverage to 8 years. This extension can easily be claimed by registering your timepiece in the My IWC care program while the original 2-year warranty is still active.
Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Year of the Goat
The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Year of the Goat combines a brushed titanium case and a black ceramic bezel with a gold-colored dial and black subdials. In Chinese culture, gold is associated with fortune, prosperity and prestige.
The combination of gold and black lends this Performance Chronograph a softer and warmer character that reflects the traits traditionally associated with people born in the Year of the Goat, who are considered compassionate and caring, as well as elegant and gentle.
The gold-plated oscillating mass, visible through the sapphire glass case back, depicts a small herd of three goats. For thousands of years, three goats have served as a cultural symbol of bliss in China – a tradition that can be traced back to the legendary “Book of Changes”, in which “yang” – pronounced the same way as the word for goat – represents the counterpart to “yin” and symbolizes positive energy and the beginning of a new cycle.
This special edition is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 caliber, which offers a power reserve of 46 hours, and is fitted with a black calfskin strap. Thanks to the integrated EasX-CHANGE® system, the strap can be exchanged at the touch of a button without the need for tools.
