CC: With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry, reading your CV we spotted that you have a specialization in tailoring: is this the key to better carry out your clients’ fashion stories?
NS: I believe every look starts with the fit and the image you are trying to communicate. We all have such different body types therefore it’s important to tailor each look to best compliment the clients greatest assets whether it their legs, hips, waist, etc.. It should be the base to all styling - from there you can play with silhouettes, colors, brands depending on each client’s personality and aesthetic. So yes it is one of my most important keys for me personally when it comes to styling.
CC: Regarding accessories Nausheen, how do you pick the perfect piece for each of the fashion weeks looks so that it complements it?
NS: My taste in accessories has simplified throughout the years. Today I prefer one bold accessory such as an earring, a clutch, a watch or a shoe and the rest should balance the look. For me when I see too many heavy accessories, it takes the vibrance away from the others pieces which on their own are already 100%. Restraint is difficult as we always want more and more, but Coco was on the money when she said to remove one accessory when you walk out the door. Less is truly more when you own it.
CC: What is next in your agenda?
NS: I am continuing to style editorials and clients in addition to contributing to several fashion/travel articles to outlets such as Departures Magazine, Travel + Leisure, etc.. I am about to launch my 2nd Earsculpture Collaboration with jewelry designer Monica Sordo NSxMS (Nausheen Shah x Monica Sordo) coming out in a few months which we are very excited to share with everyone!
CC: Viktoria, having modelled for many years all over Asia and Europe, and founding then your own label we can say you have always been living in the world of fashion and lifestyle. What was the first article of clothing or accessory you ever admired?
VR: My first favorite piece was a coat that I bought when I was 18. I had always been a big fan of watches but although I started to earn my money through modeling and styling, I couldn’t afford the one that I liked at that time.
CC: What is the best part of being a fashion blogger? What do you enjoy most about it?
VR: I meet so many wonderful and inspiring people every day. I really enjoy traveling although it can be very hectic and stressful at times.
CC: What is next in your agenda?
VR: I will attend Paris Fashion Week and then I will have a few relaxing days with my family in Bodrum.
