The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar: always up to date

The Portugieser is one of the oldest and best-known IWC collections. No other watch family incorporates so many examples of haute horologie while evoking thoughts of classic maritime elegance. And it’s also the smartest timepiece you can have in your collection.

Born in the 1930s out of a need of a wristwatch with the precision of a pocket watch, the Portugieser was ahead of its time. The simple elegance and iconic design of Portugieser watches, with their impressive size, simple Arabic numerals, slim feuille hands and “chemin de fer” railway-track style chapter ring, make it a classic timepiece that can be handed down for generations to come.
