Please fasten your seat belt and get ready for an adventure as IWC pays homage to a piece of aviation history at the 2019 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). The Journal gives you a preview of our booth at the gathering.
The IWC booth at this year’s SIHH honors the legacy of the British fighter plane “Spitfire”, one of the most sophisticated aircraft in aviation history. The setting is the perfect place to watch our Pilot’s Watches take off. During this year’s gathering IWC will present a new Spitfire line, a new TOP GUN line, and “Le Petit Prince” special editions.
The IWC booth also celebrates the expedition “Silver Spitfire – The Longest Flight”, a round-the-world journey set to start in August this year. Visitors to the booth will be treated to an up-close and personal view of the “Silver Spitfire,” the restored plane that will circumnavigate the globe on a quest to cover 43,000 km and visit approximately 26 countries.
The sleek design of the booth is reminiscent of the airline hangars that housed the Spitfire, creating a compelling visual story that blends the aircraft’s rugged craftsmanship with IWC’s innovative timepieces. Get a preview of this exciting location below and see the booth in person during SIHH's “Open Day” on Friday, January 19th.
