The Ingenieur Automatic revisits the bold design of Gérald Genta’s Ingenieur SL from the 1970s. The collection comprises a range of sizes and materials, including executions in 18-carat 5N gold, titanium and ceramic.

82000 calibre family
Movements from the IWC-manufactured 82000 calibre family are equipped with a Pellaton winding system. Using movements of the rotor in both directions, it builds up a power reserve of 60 or 80 hours in the mainspring. Components subject to high stresses, such as the automatic wheel or the clicks, are manufactured from virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic. The balance oscillates at a frequency of 4 hertz (28’800 vibrations per hour).

A design for eternity.
During the 1970s, Gérald Genta created the Ingenieur SL, whose bold aesthetic codes and unique visual identity have marked the history of the IWC Ingenieur ever since.
