Simple services
WATER RESISTANCE RENEWAL
Our Water Resistance Renewal service includes the replacement of all seals and gaskets to restore the water-tightness of the case.
Over time, the water resistance of your watch can diminish. Exposure to saltwater, extreme temperature fluctuations, sharp impacts, or contact with cosmetics can lead to aging of the seals and impair water tightness. To maintain water resistance at its optimal level, we recommend performing a Water Resistance Renewal service every year.
This service includes:
- Uncasing of the movement
- Dismantling of the case
- Cleaning of all components
- Replacing seals and gaskets
- Reassembling the case
- Testing water resistance
POLISHING
Our Polishing service includes comprehensive manual surface treatment of the case and bracelet of your watch to restore its original brilliance.
Over the years, the case and bracelet of your watch may begin to show signs of wear. By performing a Polishing service, you can restore the original appearance of your timepiece. Please note that case backs with engravings can only be cleaned and will not be polished.
This service includes:
- Uncasing of the movement
- Dismantling of the case
- Polishing of watch case, bracelet, clasp, or buckle
- Replacing seals and gaskets
- Reassembling the case
- Testing water resistance
BATTERY SERVICE
Our Battery service includes replacing the battery of your IWC quartz watch and a replacement of the gaskets.
If a quartz movement powers your IWC watch, the battery will have to be replaced from time to time. When replacing the battery, our watchmakers also carry out an overall inspection of your timepiece and replace the gaskets.
This service includes:
- Examination of the movement
- Measuring the rate and consumption
- Exchange of back gaskets
- Cleaning of the case, bracelet, and clasp or buckle
- Reassembling the case
- Testing water resistance
- Functional control of watch, bracelet, or strap and clasp
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Our Certificate of Authenticity service includes examining your timepiece and issuing an official authentication document.
By requesting a Certificate of Authenticity service, you can obtain a confirmation that your timepiece is a genuine IWC product. The authenticity committee will examine your watch and issue an official authentication document. The committee comprises heritage watchmakers, the Department Head of Classic Watches, and the IWC Museum Director.
Available in English, French, and German, the certificate includes:
- Model name and reference
- Case material(s)
- Movement type (calibre)
- Date the timepiece left the manufacture
Please note that your watch will have to be received at the IWC headquarters in Schaffhausen for this service. Your local boutique or authorised retail partner will be happy to make all necessary arrangements for you.
