IWC Schaffhausen uses only leathers that fully comply with local regulatory requirements, including CITES. IWC Schaffhausen uses no skins sourced from wild, living, endangered species.
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) is an international agreement to protect endangered and wild animal and plant species. Compliance with CITES is implemented by national authorities, including customs and excise services.
IWC requests its suppliers to provide assurance that their leather has been sourced from responsible and verified sources that do not result in converting sensitive ecosystems into grazing lands or agricultural lands for food production; and that animal welfare has been respected.
