OLGA KURYLENKO

Never forget where you come from

We continue our #IWCTalksTo series with a talk to actress Olga Kurylenko

Biography

Stunning actress Olga Kurylenko has garnered international recognition for her critically acclaimed work in film and television. The next twelve months hold exciting projects for Olga. Firstly the release of comedy "Salty" in which Olga stars opposite Antonio Banderas. 2017 also sees the release of the highly anticipated Armando Iannuci film "The Death Of Stalin." Olga Kurylenko plays ‘Maria’, the virtuoso concert pianist who finds herself scapegoated for the death of Stalin and accused of plotting his murder. She also recently finished shooting "Dans la brume" with Romain Duris to be released in 2018, and is currently filming "The Man Who Killed Don Quichotte" also starring Adam Driver and directed by Terry Gilliam.

In 2015, Olga played the female lead in Russell Crowe’s directorial debut "The Water Diviner," an epic adventure set against the stunning backdrop of the Australian Outback and post-World War I Turkey. Crowe plays the protagonist who travels to Turkey in search of his three sons, supposedly lost in the battle of Gallipoli. In October 2015, Olga played the role of ‘Katya’ in Fernando Leon de Aranoa’s drama "A Perfect Day" opposite Benicio Del Toro. The film was screened at the London Film Festival and released in the US in January 2016.

2011 saw Olga take the female lead in the emotional story of love, betrayal and personal sacrifice, set in the time of the Spanish Civil War, entitled "There Be Dragons," from director Roland Joffe. She also starred in Michale Boganim's "Land of Oblivion" about the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. Olga first came to the attention of the international film industry in 2008 when she starred as ‘Camille’ opposite Daniel Craig’s ‘James Bond’ in "Quantum of Solace," directed by Marc Forster.
