IWC Schaffhausen

Portugieser Boutique Edition

IWC introduces selected models with overarching design cues in the maritime-inspired colours blue and gold, that are available exclusively in IWC Boutiques and online at IWC.com.

The line features blue dials, gold-plated hands, and cases in 18-carat 5N gold or 18-carat Armor Gold®. Thanks to its improved microstructure, this innovative new material has considerably higher hardness values than traditional 5N gold alloys.

Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon Boutique Edition

The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon unites two sophisticated Haute Horlogerie complications. The tourbillon, made of 82 individual parts, weighs only 0.635 grams. The “whirlwind” causes the balance wheel to rotate around its own axis, compensating for the effect of gravity on the oscillating system and increasing accuracy. Requiring no correction until 2100, the perpetual calendar automatically recognizes the different lengths of the months and leap years. This timepiece has a diameter of 45 millimetres.

Portugieser Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph Boutique Edition

The Portugieser Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph features a flying hacking minute tourbillon at “6 o’clock”. This model has a diameter of 43.5 millimetres. Additionally, it is equipped with a retrograde date display and a chronograph with flyback function. The blue dial, the gold-plated hands and appliqués in 18-carat gold further underscore the maritime character of this exclusive timepiece.

Portugieser Perpetual Calendar Boutique Edition

IWC’s perpetual calendar, developed by Kurt Klaus in the 1980s, automatically recognizes the different lengths of the months and the leap years. It can be easily adjusted using the crown. The IWC-manufactured 52610 calibre’s Pellaton winding system is fitted with ceramic components and builds up a power reserve of 7 days in two barrels. The decorated movement and the rotor in 18-carat gold are visible through the sapphire glass case back. This Portugieser model has a diameter of 44.2 millimetres.

Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42 Boutique Edition

The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar 42 displays the date, month and weekday on three subdials at “3 o’clock”, “6 o’clock” and “9 o’clock”. It also features indications for the moon phase, the leap year and it shows a diameter of 42 millimetres. With the help of ceramic components, the IWC-manufactured 82650 calibre’s Pellaton winding system builds up a power reserve of 60 hours.

Portugieser Automatic Boutique Edition

With a characteristic minutes scale, appliquéd Arabic numerals, and slender feuille hands, the Portugieser Automatic expresses the iconic Portugieser design very effectively. The small seconds and the power reserve display are located directly opposite each other at “3 o’clock” and “9 o’clock”, which results in a very balanced dial design. The watch has a diameter of 42 millimetres.

Portugieser Chronograph Boutique Edition

The Portugieser Chronograph is one of IWC Schaffhausen’s most iconic models. With its compact diameter of 41 millimetres, it fits almost any wrist. The clear, functional dial boasts applied Arabic numerals and slender Feuille hands. Printed with a quarter-second scale, the inner réhaut not only allows precise reading of the stop time but also reminds us of the Portugieser’s origins as a nautical precision instrument for the wrist.
