The Ingenieur Automatic 35 distills the essence of the Gérald Genta-inspired Ingenieur design into a more compact 35-millimeter case, with enhanced ergonomics and outstanding wearability.

Engineered to Feel Effortless

The Ingenieur Automatic 35 is much more than a smaller version of its larger siblings. IWC’s engineers and designers worked hand in hand to refine the proportions of the case, bezel and bracelet down to the smallest detail. The result is a highly wearable watch with a 35-millimetre case measuring just 9.4 millimetres in height.

A Bezel That Acts Like a Frame

With the Ingenieur SL, Gérald Genta defined the design codes that continue to inspire the modern Ingenieur. Its most distinctive feature is the characteristic bezel, secured to the case ring with five functional screws. Instantly recognizable, it not only catches the eye but also creates a subtle frame and the perfect stage for the dial.

Crafted to Catch And Reflect The Light

The dial with its characteristic Grid pattern is another defining feature of the Ingenieur. Composed of alternating lines and squares, it interacts beautifully with the light, creating ever-changing reflections and depth. Applied metal markers filled with Super-LumiNova® add another layer of visual richness to the composition.

Finishing That Speaks For Itself

The finishing of the Ingenieur Automatic 35 has been refined down to the smallest detail and is defined by an interplay of satin-finished and polished surfaces. Every model features a satin-finished bezel with a polished outer edge. The H-links of the bracelet are satin-finished, while the centre links are meticulously polished.

When Less Is More

The Ingenieur Automatic 35 is an Ingenieur through and through, without compromise. More compact in size and effortless to wear, it incorporates all the defining design elements of the larger models: the characteristic bezel, the integrated bracelet attached via the centre links, and the distinctive Grid-pattern dial.

Since the launch of the Ingenieur Automatic 35 in 2025, IWC has continuously expanded the collection. The initial line-up comprised stainless steel models with black and silver-plated dials, alongside a version crafted entirely from 18-carat 5N gold. This year, several new models joined the family: the first Ingenieur with a diamond-set bezel, a version with a blue dial, and another featuring a dial in the new Pool color.
