The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar pairs the design of a timeless instrument dress watch with one of IWC Schaffhausen’s most emblematic complications. Meticulously engineered for individuals with discerning tastes, this calendar watch is available in two sizes, various materials and a range of dial colours.

52000 calibre family
The IWC-manufactured 52000 calibre family comprises large automatic movements. The highly efficient Pellaton winding system uses movements of the rotor in both directions to build up a power reserve of 168 hours (7 days) in two barrels. Components that are subject to high stresses, such as the automatic wheel and the clicks, are made of virtually wear-free ceramic.

Putting eternity on the wrist.
During his time as head watchmaker at IWC Schaffhausen, Kurt Klaus translated the Gregorian calendar with all its many irregularities into a mechanical program for a wristwatch. His legendary complication was first featured in the Da Vinci Chronograph Perpetual Calendar in 1985 and is still regarded as a milestone in watchmaking.
