“Sneakers are the new social currency”, some people say and we (sort of) agree by presenting our new and unique partnership with Dutch fashion label FILLING PIECES. As of 23 September 2022, the limited-edition Low Top Ghost Woodland will be available via Filling Pieces, only.
The premium sneaker is designed by Founder Guillaume Philibert and puts the ceramic color code of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” (Ref. IW389106) in the spotlight. Customers who purchase the limited-edition sneaker will also receive an NFT that introduces the owners to the “IWC Diamond Hand Club,” IWC’s exclusive tokenized community on web3.

BEHIND THE LOW TOP GHOST WOODLAND
Why not take two success stories and combine them to create something magnificent? The “Low Top Ghost Woodland” – limited to just 100 pairs and only available online and in Filling Pieces’ Amsterdam flagship store - is based on the original “Low Top”. Designed by Founder and Creative Director Guillaume Philibert in 2009, the “Low Top” has become one of the sneaker-community’s insider-icons.
The collab-sneaker features a premium perforated nubuck leather upper and a stitched Filling Pieces logo on the hallmark-tongue. It’s in the details: Take a closer look at the sneaker’s typical ghost outsole and you will detect a hint of a lasered “X” – another design cue inspired by the back of the green rubber watch strap.
To celebrate our shared values and the common concept of time and togetherness, the FILLING PIECES flagship store in Amsterdam will be transformed into a monochromatic “Woodland” world until 17 October 2022. Drop by and explore dedicated exhibitions, engage in panel discussions about fashion, metaverse and NFTs, and – above all – experience what an IWC watch and a Filling Pieces premium sneaker really feel like.
FIRST IWC WATCH IN GREEN CERAMIC
IWC’s TOP GUN “Woodland” Chronograph in newly engineered green ceramic served as a source of inspiration with regards to the color scheme. Influenced by the uniforms of TOP GUN pilots and by the forest landscapes over which these pilots perform their flight training, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Woodland” (Ref. IW389106) is the first model to feature the distinctly dark-green PANTONE®-specified color code.
The “Woodland” Chronograph was launched as part of IWC’s “The Colors of TOP GUN” collection at Watches and Wonders 2022 in Geneva. It is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69380 caliber, with a column-wheel design. The green ceramic case is manufactured in a complex process, in which zirconium- and other metal oxides are sintered at high temperatures within a kiln. IWC X Filling Pieces: TIME AND TOGETHERNESS
Based in Amsterdam, Filling Pieces was founded with the aim of designing and offering premium sneakers for a fair price. Its first shoe the “Low Top” became the brand’s symbol of affordable luxury design - a language used to bridge the gap between streetwear and high fashion thus creating positive change.
As of 23 September, 100 sneakers in sizes 39 to 46 will be available on the Filling Pieces website. Owners of the limited-edition, “Low Top Ghost Woodland”, will also be gifted with an NFT which provides access to IWC’s exclusive tokenized web3-community, “IWC Diamond Hand Club”.
