The collaboration between IWC and the descendants of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry began in 2006 with a Pilot’s Watch Chronograph dedicated to the French aviation pioneer and author. The partnership is best known for its blue-dial special editions inspired by The Little Prince. First published over 80 years ago, Saint-Exupéry’s most famous novel continues to inspire children and adults alike with its timeless reflections on love and friendship.

For the first time, IWC Schaffhausen presents a special edition dedicated to The Little Prince within the Portofino collection. Alongside its deep-blue sunray-finished dial, the Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34 Le Petit Prince features a charming day-and-night display at 6 o’clock, illustrating the eternal passage of time. At midnight, a moon appears in the upper part of the display with the Little Prince standing upon it – a poetic reference to Saint-Exupéry’s beloved story.
