Operations / Technics

Supply Chain Management is a strategic part of every globally operating company and without it, operations within a company cannot take place. Supply Chain Management, however, also involves many risks regarding customs, CSR, insurance, security and other issues that could seriously jeopardize the reputation and performance of a company. It is the goal of Supply Chain Compliance to prevent a company from being badly affected by such risks. Testimonial from a human resources internship

After completing my bachelor’s degree in business administration, I decided to apply for a position at the internationally renowned luxury watch company IWC Schaffhausen. Being a communicative and open person, I found the job description for the HR internship particularly interesting. A quick application process with two very motivating interviews reinforced my decision to take on this challenge.

After getting to know the team and completing an intensive introductory period, I was immediately involved in an extensive project on the topic of SAP time management. In addition to supporting the project managers, my tasks included preparatory work and training employees. I value the trust placed in me and the responsibility I was allowed to assume within a very short space of time. I received regular feedback from my direct superior, the Head of HR Services, and the HR Director and was thus able to constantly improve my working methods and approach. As the project was interdisciplinary in nature, involving various Richemont brands, I quickly got to know the different “Maisons”. The project spanned the entire duration of my internship. I also acquainted myself with the various HR tasks and thus gained a helpful overview of professional opportunities within the modern HR sector.

I was immediately involved in an extensive project on the topic of SAP time management. In addition to supporting the project managers, my tasks included preparatory work and training employees.
What especially struck me is the support employees receive in every department. I was encouraged to make changes and put forward and implement ideas.

During the internship, I was also able to support our Recruiting Manager in carrying out his work. This was an extremely exciting and challenging task. Again, I was given a great amount of responsibility and after only a short time was dealing with vacancies and applications on my own. To sum up the whole experience, I was given a unique opportunity to complete an extremely varied and interesting internship at one of the best Haute Horlogerie companies.

Following the 6-month internship, I was taken on as a Junior HR Generalist on a temporary basis. During my time in the Human Resources department, I was able to gain a good overview of the various departments and the people at IWC. What especially struck me is the support employees receive in every department. I was encouraged to make changes and put forward and implement ideas. Internships at this company provide a great opportunity to put the theory you have learned into practice. For my part, I would definitely recommend an internship at IWC.
