The Ingenieur Chronograph Sport Edition “76th Members’ Meeting at Goodwood” Story
For the first time, IWC uses a movement from the 69000 calibre family in the Ingenieur Chronograph Sport. The IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre uses a bidirectional pawl-winding system to build up a power reserve of 46 hours. The case, with a diameter of 44 millimetres, is made of titanium. The silver-plated dial, black subdials, black hands coated with luminescence as well as blue chronograph hands, create a dial rich in contrasts. As with the first Ingenieur from 1955, this timepiece features a soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields. The lower portion of the case is visible through a sapphire-glass back and emulates the appearance of a brake disc. The imprint “76” commemorates the 76th edition of the Goodwood Members’ Meeting. This fine chronograph is limited to just 176 numbered watches and is fitted with a black calfskin strap featuring blue seams.
