Boldnessandcomplexity.

- Size 43
Bold cockpit instrument design, paired with a sophisticated complication: the tourbillon places the pallet lever and the escape wheel inside a small cage that continuously rotates around its axis, creating a visual spectacle on the dial.

82000 calibre family
Movements from the IWC-manufactured 82000 calibre family are equipped with a Pellaton winding system. Using movements of the rotor in both directions, it builds up a power reserve of 60 or 80 hours in the mainspring. Components subject to high stresses, such as the automatic wheel or the clicks, are manufactured from virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic. The balance oscillates at a frequency of 4 hertz (28'800 vibrations per hour).

Where time flies.
Ask watchmakers, and one thing is soon clear: their favourite complication is the tourbillon. At the same time, it is one of the most demanding.
