Goodwood Members’ Meetings

Discover the passion, heritage and precision that unite classic cars and fine watchmaking

The Goodwood Members’ Meeting is no ordinary race weekend. Founded by the 11th Duke of Richmond, it’s a high-octane celebration of motorsport’s golden age, bringing together legendary cars, historic circuits, and an intimate community of racing enthusiasts. Since 2015, IWC has been at the heart of the action as the official Timing Partner, blending precision timekeeping with the raw thrill of the track.

Driven by passion

Watches and motorsport share the same DNA—precision, engineering, and a relentless pursuit of perfection. That’s why IWC and Goodwood are a perfect match. From classic GTs to open-wheeled F1™ machines, the Members’ Meeting is a celebration of authenticity, driving skill, and a shared passion for these iconic racing machines. We don’t just keep time; we embrace the spirit of racing.

In 2018, IWC shifted into a new gear by launching the IWC Racing Team—the first watch brand with its own team competing in historic motorsport events. Its car of choice? The iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL “Gullwing.” Since then, the Gullwing has roared around the Goodwood circuit, driven by racing legends like David Coulthard and Laura Kraihamer. The team’s presence on the grid isn’t just about competition—it’s about celebrating the elegance and adrenaline of classic racing.

Immersive experiences on and off the track

Over the years, we have brought more than just our racing team to Goodwood. The partnership has been marked by special watch launches, immersive brand experiences, and even hybrid events that connect the thrill of the track with watchmaking excellence. From unveiling timepieces inspired by motorsport to creating exclusive collector’s editions, we have cemented our place as a driving force at the Members’ Meeting.

IWC has also embraced digital innovation, turning Goodwood into a hybrid experience with virtual connections between the paddock and our manufacturing center in Schaffhausen. Whether through live discussions with IWC ambassadors or interactive experiences, the fusion of racing and horology has never been more dynamic.

Where craftsmanship meets competition

Goodwood is about more than just speed—it’s about heritage, craftsmanship, and the pursuit of excellence. Just like our watches, the classic machines on track are testaments to timeless design and mechanical mastery. From the unmistakable Gullwing to the finely tuned movements ticking on the wrists of racing fans, this partnership is a fine blend of past and future, tradition and innovation.

At Goodwood, every second counts. And with IWC as the official timing partner, timekeeping has never been more exhilarating.
