THE COLORS OF TOP GUN:
LAKE TAHOE
PILOT’S WATCH CHRONOGRAPH TOP GUN EDITION “LAKE TAHOE”
The white ceramic case of the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” is inspired by white US Navy uniforms and the fascinating winter landscape around Lake Tahoe.
THE COLORS OF TOP GUN: LAKE TAHOE
A muted white with a mysterious shimmer: the ceramic color Lake Tahoe is inspired by white uniforms and the winter landscape around freshwater Lake Tahoe – a popular training area for naval aviators. IWC and Pantone® specified this color as IWC Lake Tahoe.
CONTRASTING DESIGN
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Lake Tahoe” combines a white ceramic case in a diameter of 44 millimetres with a black dial and black hands. The case back is made of titanium, while the pushers and crown are made of stainless steel, lending the timepiece a design that is as pure as it is contrasting.
EXTENSIVE MATERIAL EXPERTISE
White ceramics are emblematic of IWC’s material expertise. The manufacture experimented with this color as early as in the 1980s, shortly after introducing the world’s first watch case made of black zirconium oxide ceramic. White ceramic is created in a sophisticated manufacturing process in which zirconium oxide is mixed with other metallic oxides and sintered at high temperatures in an oven.
PRECISE AND RELIABLE
The IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre ensures the precise measurement of stop times of up to 12 hours. The chronograph movement in a classic column-wheel design was engineered with a focus on robustness, precision, and reliability. The movements are assembled by hand and extensively tested at the IWC Manufakturzentrum.
WHERE EILEEN LEARNED TO FLY
Lake Tahoe is one of the most famous and popular winter sports areas in the USA. It was in this magical landscape that Eileen Gu first put on skis. Today, she is the measure of all things in freestyle skiing. A member of the IWC family since 2021, Eileen recently wrote history by becoming the first action sports athlete ever to win three medals at the same Olympics.
