Understatedtimelesselegance.

- Size 40
With a case diameter of only 40 millimetres, the Portofino Perpetual Calendar is currently the smallest and slimmest perpetual calendar watch across IWC’s collections. This elegant dress watch is available either in 18-carat 5N gold or stainless steel.

82000 calibre family
Movements from the IWC-manufactured 82000 calibre family are equipped with a Pellaton winding system. Using movements of the rotor in both directions, it builds up a power reserve of 60 or 80 hours in the mainspring. Components subject to high stresses, such as the automatic wheel or the clicks, are manufactured from virtually wear-free zirconium oxide ceramic. The balance oscillates at a frequency of 4 hertz (28’800 vibrations per hour).

Putting eternity on the wrist.
During his time as head watchmaker at IWC Schaffhausen, Kurt Klaus translated the Gregorian calendar with all its many irregularities into a mechanical program for a wristwatch. His legendary complication was first featured in the Da Vinci Chronograph Perpetual Calendar in 1985 and is still regarded as a milestone in watchmaking.
