Dominic Weir chief digital officer at IWC was born, raised, and educated in central London and will talk to podcast host Paul Ripke about his unique career path. Weir talks about how he developed the fascination for building things in his early years and about his studies in product design at the renowned art school, Central Saint Martins. As well he discloses, that his first job was in the music industry where he created graphic arts, like 3Ds for dance music videos. Then entering the luxury industry at Richemont, Weir transitioned to a truly digital person, building some of the first luxury e-commerce businesses. Lastly Ripke and Weir exchange views on digitalization in the more traditional and analog world of luxury watches and talk about the future of shopping and how AI can help us to reach the desired product.
