From 15 November, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme installs its famous chalet in the heart of its winter terrace. An exclusive partner for this new edition: the highly prestigious House of Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen.

A successful collaboration of these houses of exception, Claudio Ceccherelli, Managing Director of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme and Arnaud Miara, Director of IWC Schaffhausen France, chose to completely rethink the chalet. Thus it is a new place which will welcome Parisians in search of escape and hotel guests to come and share a timeless moment.

Excellence and discretion, modernity and care of the detail… for this new edition, IWC and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme gather their foundational proverbs in a single project: a real wintry jewel, a rare and precious chalet. Like the Parisian residence, this wintry refuge aims to be contemporary, almost purified in style. Designed as a “window into Switzerland” it directly reflects the city of Schaffhausen, the origin of the watch-making brand IWC. With a dark ash color (Japanese technique of filler) and some sprinkled white and silver touches, it is a resolutely modern chalet which will open its doors on 15 November.

About the inside? A privileged setting to share the most luxurious raclette in a peaceful and friendly environment. In the center, a big wooden table, able to welcome up to twelve dinner guests. Jean-François Rouquette, Executive Chef of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, will propose a cheese mountain raclette every evening, with Saint Nicklaus's cheese, potatoes, as well as a selection of delicatessen items from the Alps, which will delight aficionados of Swiss specialities. A luxury version with truffles will be also proposed to guests. Jimmy Mornet, Pastry Chef of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, will offer dinner guests sweet, ice-cold and acidulated dishes to perfect this timeless moment.

Accessible by some steps, this new chalet will dominate the famous terrace of the luxury hotel. Mulled wine and delicacies of the season, a friendly and intimate atmosphere; a haven of peace in the heart of Paris, a real cocoon where luxury rhymes with delicacy

Thanks to its passion for innovation and technical exploits, IWC Schaffhausen has built an international reputation. Since 1868, the watchmaker brand has combined precision engineering and exclusive design.

In 1868, pioneer of American watchmaking Florentine Ariosto Jones established International Watch Company in Schaffhausen. He leaned on the know-how of the highly qualified watchmaking craftsmen of the country, modern technology and the hydro-electric power supplied by the bordering Rhine to make watches of the finest quality.

For 150 years, IWC Schaffhausen has devoted all the necessary means to maintaining its enviable reputation. Guard-time mechanics are handmade in their own workshops, with the biggest attention to detail. Six families of precision engineering and timeless design create high technology and incomparable feelings around every wrist.
